How it works
Four steps, and three of them happen before the day.
1. Lock the date and the scope
Guest count, how many hours we run, and roughly how many hats you want covered. That is what the package is built on.
2. Build the patch library
Eight to eighteen designs depending on the package. Send yours or we draw them. Monograms, a date, a mountain, an inside joke that only your people get.
3. We cut and stage
Patches get cut and weeded on the laser here, DTF transfers get printed here, and hats get sorted by style and color. The day itself is only pressing.
4. We set up and run it
We arrive early, set the table, and work it the whole time. You do not staff it and you do not touch a press.
The patches are already cut when we pull up. The press is the only thing happening live, which is why the line keeps moving instead of stalling out while somebody waits on a laser.

The Pop Up
Two hours. Rehearsal dinner, welcome party, office happy hour.

The per hat number barely drops as the packages get bigger, and that is on purpose. A Richardson 112 costs the same at twelve as it does at a hundred, so there is no material discount to hand you. What scales is labor and setup, and that is exactly what the larger packages discount.
Add ons
What moves the number.
Every package includes a Richardson 112 or a foam front trucker. Change the hat, add hats, add hours, or let guests keep building, and the math is published here so you can price the version you want before you ever email us.
Laser patch and DTF cost the same, so guests pick on looks instead of on price. A four color crest is the same number as a one color wordmark either way.
What we need from you

The date, the venue, and the hours. Indoor or outdoor, and whether we are under cover if it turns.

Power and a footprint. A standard outlet and about a table's worth of space. That is the entire rider.

Artwork, or a conversation about it. Vector if you have it. If you have a vibe and no file, that is what the design desk is for. Art prep is $25 and is waived on print ready files. Original design bills at $75 per hour in 15 minute increments.

Your hat color calls. Two or three colorways read better on a table than eight. We will help you pick the ones that flatter the patch you chose.
The table
What guests choose from.
Bring any style of hat you want. These four cover almost every event we run, and every one of them can carry your patch.
The trucker everybody in the valley already owns one of. Structured front, mesh back, snapback. The patch is cut and etched on our laser out of real leatherette, then pressed on at the table. Included in every package.
Taller, lighter, and the one that photographs loud. Printed direct in full color, so a sunset gradient or a photographic Teton skyline costs the same as a wordmark. Also included in every package.
Adds $8 and $5. This is the upgrade people reach for when they want the hat to look bought rather than printed. Swap the rope to your colors for another $8 and it stops looking like anything off a shelf.
Somebody always shows up in the beat up one they actually love. We will patch it for $22. We will also tell you honestly if the material will not take heat, because we are not scorching a favorite hat in front of a crowd.
Booking and deadlines
Booking a package online holds your date. We confirm availability within one business day and refund in full if we cannot cover it.
Every patch is cut and weeded here before we load the van, so artwork locks three weeks before the date on the Pop Up and the Half Day. The All Day carries eighteen designs and a real cut list, so it locks four weeks out.
Summer weekends and the holiday stretch fill first. Book as soon as you have a date, because the artwork timeline matters more than the calendar does.

Weddings and receptions
Guests flew in for a wedding at the foot of the Tetons. A hat with your date on the patch outlives the koozie by about a decade.
Corporate retreats and offsites
Better than the swag bag nobody unpacks. People build their own, so the company hat actually gets worn on the plane home.
Brand activations and pop ups
A press draws a crowd and a patch tray holds it. The dwell time is the product, and the hat walks out the door as the ad.
Bachelorette and bachelor weekends
Eighteen people, eighteen different hats, one inside joke on every patch. Nobody has to wear the matching shirt they hate.
Fundraisers and school events
Donate, then build. The give and the gift happen at the same table, which is why the ask converts instead of getting walked past.
Reunions, teams, and clubs
Year patches, roster numbers, and a rope in the team colors, built at the table for whoever actually showed up.
Questions
Before you book the date.
What is the difference between the laser patch and the DTF?
The laser patch is real leatherette, cut to shape and etched on our Glowforge, then heat pressed onto a structured hat like the Richardson 112. It has depth and an edge you can feel. DTF is full color ink printed direct onto the hat, which is what we run on foam front truckers, and it handles photos, gradients, and unlimited color. Same price either way. Pick the one that suits the art.
Are the patches actually made at the event?
They are made for your event, not at it. Every patch is cut and weeded here in the shop in the weeks before, which is exactly why the line moves. A laser running live would mean one hat every few minutes and a crowd watching a machine instead of getting a hat. What happens at the table is the choosing and the pressing.
What if my event is between two package sizes?
Start with the smaller one and add to it. Extra hats are $42 and an extra hour is $225, so a 60 hat three hour welcome party is the Pop Up plus twenty hats and an hour, not a whole new quote. If it is genuinely bigger than the All Day, send the details and we will build it.
How many hats can you do in an hour?
We build the packages around 20 to 25 finished hats per hour per station, which is deliberately conservative. The real limiter is guests deciding between eight patches, not the press. Each package pairs its hat count to its hours so it stays moving instead of stacking up a line at hour two.
Can guests bring their own hat?
Usually, and it is $22. We will not promise it sight unseen. A heat press does not care how much you love a hat, and some straw, wool, and coated materials will not take it. Ask when you book, or hand it to us at the table and we will tell you straight.
What happens to hats we do not use?
Nothing is wasted on our side and nothing is refunded on yours, because the hat count is what the package is priced on. If you come in under it, we finish the balance at the shop on the designs you picked and get them to you, so you still get everything you paid for.
Can we do it outside?
Yes, with power and cover. A press needs a real outlet and a flat surface, and wind is not kind to a tray of loose patches. Tent, garage, barn, or pavilion all work.
How far will you travel?
Jackson, Wilson, Teton Village, South Park, and the greater valley are included in the package price. Past Teton County it is $3 a mile round trip, plus lodging at cost if the call time means we are staying over. Tell us where it is and we will tell you what it takes.
